The Island

Everyone has heard of Thailand. Whether you are looking for adventure, culture or just relax, Thailand has something to offer to anyone. There are so many places to be seen in Thailand. You can travel back in time visiting the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, or just look at the world from the back of an elephant.

Bangkok, the amazingly colorful capital of Thailand, offers a plenty of delicious local and international restaurants, a lot of historic monuments, and tons of bargain deals for the shopping lovers. Despite being among the world’s top destinations there is something to remember all the time in Thailand – dress code, especially while visiting temples. Covered shoulders, long pants, and socks are a must. But, most important one should be humble and modest.

Bangkok

Traveling through the country is rather easy. There are two major airports – Bangkok and Phuket. While getting to Thailand is often expensive and flights are quite long, once you are there travel costs a fraction. Compared to Europe or South America Bangkok is among the cheapest cities in the world to visit. Vacation and holiday packages are found at incredibly reasonable prices.

Another thing to keep in mind going to Thailand is the weather. In the north there are three seasons: March to May – hot, June to October – rainy, and November to February – cool. In the south the seasons are only two – wet and dry. Another important characteristic of the climate is the difference between the west and south coasts. The monsoon season in the west lasts from April to October while the east “enjoys” it from September to December.

Ayutthaya

Thailand is notorious for its plenty of beautiful beaches. The 2000 movie “The Beach” with Leo DiCaprio was shot in Thailand. Crystal clear waters, pristine sands, and dramatic scenery are a natural draw for the ones searching for romantic holiday. This paradise offers a variety of activities like playing in the gentle surf of Bang Saphan Yai, diving with whale sharks in Ko Tao, scaling the sea cliff s of Krabi, learning to kiteboard in Hua Hin, recuperating at a health resort in Ko Samui and feasting on the beach wherever sand meets sea.

Scuba diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking, and Jet Ski are widely offered to the ones seeking active holidays almost everywhere. There are also plenty of several days snorkeling adventure tours to secluded beaches where one can see many exotic species including lionfish and scorpion fish.
